We stopped at this road-side shack for a cray fish breakfast on the way from Blenheim down to Kaikoura. (Kai = meal/food, Koura = Crayfish)
The crayfish was actually the size of a lobster. This was before we had attacked it...
.. and this was the result.
Seals at Ohau Point just north of Kaikoura.
More seals
This inquisitive fellow stood on our car bonnet for ages as we were admiring the view of the Kaikoura peninsular.
A bull seal basking on Kaikoura peninsular
Dolphins in the distance - honestly! It is really difficult to take photos of dolphins from a small boat bobbing about in the water especially when you are tired and exhilarated having just spent two hours swimming with them out in the ocean. (For anyone who is interested we've got lots of photos of water!)
A better view of a Dusky Dolphin.
