Our first view of Lake Wakatipu and the Remarkables (mountain range on the left) the day we arrived in Queenstown. This was taken from Bob's Peake where we had taken a Gondola ride.
Bob's Peake is high and therefore you have to jump off it. If you look carefully you can see someone swinging below the upper platform.
TSS Earnslaw - A 1912 vintage twin screw steamer which still plys the waters of Lake Wakatipu and took us across to Walter Peak Farm and Sheep Station.
Pianist on board TSS Earnslaw
Horse trekking on Walter Peak Sheep Station.
A view across Lake Wakatipu
Typical long white cloud sitting just on top of a mountain.
Kawarau bridge - the home of bungy jumping. It is difficult to tell from this photograph but this is actually two japanese girls jumping together.
The Remarkables
A view across Queenstown harbour to the Remarkables
A single lane bridge - we must have crossed hundreds of these. The roads are quiet enough that you rarely have to give way to anyone.
A row of mail boxes on the road between Queenstown and Arrowtown. Art or Eye-sore??
Shotover canyon - famous for jet boating
The Kiwi and Birdlife Park
A Tuatara
Maori show at the Kiwi and Birdlife Park - just look at the women's eyes.
Farewell to Queenstown.
