Wendy and Jo's New Zealand Adventure

In January 2007 we were fortuate to be able to spend a month travelling around New Zealand. This website contains a selection from the 600+ photographs we took for you to peruse at your leisure. It really is amazing how many photographs of the pacific ocean you end up with when trying to get a picture which includes the dolphins!

We can bore you for hours with tales of helicopter flights over glaciers, swimming with dolphins and horse riding in the Southern Alps - but promise only to do so if invited.

Use the links on the left to select the various places we visited. Each page includes a number of small versions of images. Larger versions can be accessed by clicking on each image (use the 'back' button in your browser to return to the small images). We have also included a page showing our itinerary and a page of links to websites which we found useful when planning our trip.

The photograph above shows the Remarkables and Lake Wakatipu looking south from above Queenstown - it was taken from the aeroplane as we were leaving to come home. You can see why the Maori call New Zealand Aotearoa - the land of the long white cloud.
