The shore of Lake Taupo steaming due to the run off of hot water from underground springs. In some places it was too hot to put your hand in.
The Rapids Jet on the Waikato River. Wendy is on the left in the middle row with Jo in the middle. Note that Jo is completely enclosed in her waterproof hood as she was sure this would keep her safe!

Steamfield at Wairakei Geothermal power station. The Kiwis have done a great job of harnessing renewable sources of energy through geothermal and hydro power.
